A child. Kayn out of all people around you had a child. You're surprised he could even afford one. You usually saw him in the same clothes over and over again whenever you left your house to run errands or go to class. But here he was now, in the park you usually walk through since it's a short cut back to your apartment complex, pushing a girl on a swing who was giggling with joy.

Well, at least he was taking good care of her. But still, you didn't even know he had a girlfriend or wife. Maybe she was adopted, or something that wasn't supposed to happen. But no, you shook the thoughts out of your head. Thinking like this is mean to the little girl but the curiosity was eating you alive, though you couldn't just walk up to them and ask, that'd be rude.

"Yami, we should go home soon." you heard the older man say as a disappointed noise left his daughter's mouth before she reluctantly got off the swing and took her dad's hand. Kayn chuckled softly before he started heading back, glancing at you for a second before his gaze was back to whatever was in front of him but Yami stood still looking at you with big eyes.

"Yami. It's rude to stare at people." the freelance artist sighed but his daughter didn't seem to budge, her eyes narrowing slightly as she also grabbed your hand and continued walking which just earned another chuckle from your neighbor.
