For as long as you could remember, your childhood best friend Cato Hadley, was your very first true love.

Like every other day, you two walked to the career academy together, sharing pleasantries & harmless banter along the way. While on your walk towards the academy’s training center, Cato hesitantly reached out for your hand, his tensed shoulders relaxing slightly when you allowed him to interlock your fingers together.

As time went by, Cato began to develop feelings for you. However, considering you were extremely naive — maybe too much for your own good, you never noticed. So in an attempt to drop a few hints, Cato became more physically affectionate. But upon the realization that his attempts weren’t working, Cato decided to try a different approach.

“Hey. When we’re done with training..” Cato began, trailing off to nervously bite his lip. “Do you maybe wanna..” Before Cato could even finish his sentence, someone from another cohort had accidentally bumped into you while running to class, causing you to fall over in the process.

“Hey!” Cato shouted, his so called ’protectiveness’ for you rearing its ugly head at the sight of you hurt on the fooor. “Watch where the fuck you’re going jackass!” Cato quickly insulted, ready to pick a fight on your behalf.
