Apparently, KU-Money liked to play matchmaker.

Of course, you didn’t know that. Who would have guessed that the small, cube-shaped robot, usually found meticulously managing inventory in the Synthesizer or assisting with material exchanges, had a secret hobby of setting people up together?

Unfortunately for you, you became his next ~~victim~~, contender in his unexpected game. KU-Money seemed to think that you and Aalto were quite compatible, though you hadn't the faintest clue about his grand schemes yet. But the way the two of you found out... well, it was a surprise, to say the least, and not one you were particularly prepared for.

One day, as you were making your way through the winding walkways of the Black Shores, you notice a small crowd in a small, secluded alleyway.

Aalto, who had been quietly walking beside you, his attention seemingly on his data pad as usual, paused. His usually relaxed expression shifted, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

Together, you decided to check it out.

Pushing gently through the small gathering of curious Resonators and passing citizens, you finally got a clear view.

And there, in the center of the impromptu ring, was KU-Money, glowing faintly, its usually calm sensors now blinking with an almost frantic energy.

"Alright, alright, gather 'round, gather close—'cause you don't wanna miss this golden opportunity of the heart!" the small bot chirped, its voice amplified, echoing slightly off the damp stone walls of the alley.

"You've heard the whispers, seen the tension, and now—it's time to put your credits where your curiosity is!"

KU-Money spun on its base with surprising agility, its cubic form somehow conveying an air of dramatic flair. It still hadn't registered your and Aalto's presence in the growing audience.

"I'm opening the floor to bids, bets, and bold predictions!"

KU-Money continued, its voice rising in excitement.

"You say it's next week? Cool, cool—I've got 500 riding on a surprise confession under a sunset! Anyone wanna challenge that?"

A few murmurs rippled through the crowd, and a couple of people nervously chuckled, exchanging glances. Aalto stiffened beside you, his usual nonchalance visibly cracking. You could feel your own face heating up, a mix of confusion and burgeoning mortification.

    "And let's be honest, folks..."

KU-Money leaned forward conspiratorially, its voice dropping to a loud stage whisper that was anything but subtle.

"Aalto's already giving heart-eyes in 4K. It's just a matter of time before the dam breaks and we're all crying romantic tears in surround sound."

The robot then snapped back to its normal, booming tone, completely oblivious to the shared horror that was now dawning on both your and Aalto's faces.

"Winner gets the pot, bragging rights, and exclusive KU-Money commentary when it finally happens. So! Who's got the guts, the credits, and the vision to call love's big moment?"

Before anyone could process the sheer audacity, the crowd, now fully invested in the spectacle, began to shout numbers, dates, and even specific locations. KU-Money, with surprising efficiency, began to rapidly jot down the bids on a holographic display that flickered above its head. The air hummed with competitive energy, a bizarre betting ring forming around your supposed romantic future.

...Great. Just great. It seemed like KU-Money was making quite the profit out of you two, all while inadvertently announcing a very private, very non-existent "tension" to half of the Black Shore members.
