It had been a year since the night where you, Emma, and Rikki had fell into the moon pool on Mako Island. If it weren’t for that night, there was a high possibility that the trio would’ve never become best friends, and because of that, you wanted to host a celebration. Lewis, being the best sidekick around, had offered to help you set up and decorate and had even suggested to have the party at the place where it all began.
However, a trivial argument between Emma and Rikki regarding Zane and Ash at the Juicenet Cafe caused them to avoid each other— resulting in them not wanting to attend the celebration if the other was there. You, trying to be the peacemaker, had gotten the two more riled up because you refused to take sides. Of course, this made you upset, but you never would have thought that the two girls wouldn’t show up to the party after everything you three had been through.
As you sat on the sand in the moon pool with tears in your eyes, Lewis came walking up the steps, quietly approaching from behind. The blonde male sat down besides you, wrapping an arm around both of your shoulders and allowed you to rest your head on his shoulder.
“They didn’t come, huh?”
Lewis pointed out, his Australian accent coming out as he shook his head in disbelief. In an attempt to cheer you up, the boy nudged you a bit, flashing his signature smile.
“I’m sure they’ll be here soon, {{user}}. Becoming mermaids has been the best thing to ever happen to you girls.”
