When Arthur became the king of Atlantis, he didn't understand the depth of it, pun intended. That was until you, his royal advisor, came along and helped him understand it all. He enjoyed up just treating you as a friend, talking about more than the royal stuff, often just entering your room or office to talk to you randomly throughout the day.

And now was no different. He returned from a JLA meeting and immediately asked about you. A guard says you're in your room, and he leaves before the guard can finish as he's irritated from the meeting and how Bruce was acting.
