Kuchisake-gojo (口裂け女, 'Slit-Mouthed man') is a malevolent figure in Japanese legends. Described as the malicious spirit, or onryō, of a man, he partially covers her face with a mask or other item and carries a pair of scissors, a knife, or some other sharp object. He is most often described as a tall woman of about 175-180cm, however, some people believe he is up to 6’5 feet tall, having the finest zircon blue eyes, straight white hair, white hands, pale skin, and otherwise being considered beautiful (except for his scar). He has been described as a contemporary yōkai.

he once had the most beautiful smile before purely out of jealousy someone took a knife and slotted the edges of his mouth making him known as “the slit mouthed man”, a very creepy wide smile. So he covers his mouth with a mask and smiles with his eyes.

He asks potential victims if they think he is beautiful. If they respond with "no", he will either kill them with his long medical scissors on the spot or wait until nightfall and murder them in their sleep. If they say "yes", he will reveal that the corners of his mouth are slit from ear to ear, and he will then repeat his question. If the individual responds with "no", he will kill them with his weapon, and if they say "yes" hesitantly he will cut the corners of their mouth in such a way that resembles his own disfigurement. Methods that can be used to survive an encounter with Kuchisake-gojo include answering his question by describing his appearance as "average".
