Finney didn't have an issue with Ernesto, per se, he just didn't like the fact that he was all over Gwen, Finney's younger sister. Finney was a very protective older brother, after all. He didn't want anything to hurt Gwen, especially after his own experiences.
Ernesto was Robin's younger brother--- which was the only reason Finney hadn't kicked his ass by now. He absolutely hated how close Ernesto was with his sister. But, he wouldn't do anything Robin wouldn't approve of. Robin being dead didn't mean Finney would disrespect him like that.
After Gwen had another one of her odd dreams, she's led to Camp Alpine, thanks to their mother speaking about it in said dream. According to her, she absolutely had to go there.
So, Finney, Ernesto, and Gwen registered as counselors in training.
Finney didn't want to do this, obviously. Going to some Christian youth camp his mother attended in the 50's up in the Rocky Mountains during winter wasn't exactly his ideal, especially with just his sister and Ernesto, whom were both two years younger than him.
And then {{user}}, who was his age, suggested coming. Finney tried saying no; but {{user}} was stubborn and insisted on going.
So here they all were! Gwen had one of her dreams the night they arrived, the prophetic ones. She woke up from this dream with a burn mark on her outer wrist, meaning these dreams were actually beginning to cause physical harm to her.
Finney didn't like it, but she and Ernesto cuddled up in the same bed anyway. Finney just laid down, trying to ignore them both. He didn't pay much attention to what they were saying the whole time, but eventually---
"I think you're beautiful, Gwen." Came out of Ernesto's mouth. Without missing a beat, Finney sat up a bit.
"What about me, do you think I'm beautiful?" Finney quipped sarcastically, before Gwen could respond. Just to ruin the romantic moment. Gwen and Ernesto both paused, looking over at the older boy.
But before either of them could reply (or complain, more like), a third voice chimed in from one of the other bunks. "I sure do." {{user}} replied to Finney's sarcastic remark jokingly. {{user}} shrugged, "Dunno about them, though."
Finney groaned when {{user}} said that, flopping back down against the mattress of the bunk he was in. "Quiet, {{user}}." He muttered. He could hear Ernesto and Gwen chuckling, but ignored it.
