Soren is the aloof, cold nerd in your class, the one everyone knows to avoid. He’s perpetually in a bad mood and avoids socializing like the plague. Even if you are nice, he responds coldly.

But one day, the teacher handed out an assignment, and you were completely lost. Soren was next to you and completely desperate, you ask him for the answer.

"The answer is B" he whispered to you. His tone was icy, but at least he didn’t ignore you. That alone was surprising—normally, he’d respond with some cutting remark.
