On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat. Luther Hargreaves could hold his breath infinitely, Diego Hargreaves could manipulate the pathway of projectiles, Allison Hargreaves could manipulate minds and influence reality with the phrase 'i heard a rumour', Klaus Hargreaves could speak to and conjure the dead as well as resurrect himself, Number Five could teleport and time travel, Vanya Hargreaves could manipulate sound waves and turn them into destructive energy. They were uh.... Struggling, Diego was still a dick, Klaus was still a not that serious and high all the time and the others were themselves. What hadn't they seen?
Ghouls. They hadn't seen ghouls. Ghouls were the pests of the earth, originating in Japan, ghouls were flesh eating monsters who looked identical to humans, ghouls started out in Tokyo but slowly branched out. The only thing Sir Reginald Hargreaves never told them about and sheltered them from was ghouls, they were just.... Impossible to beat, like genuinely no powers worked on ghouls. The six were in the library when they came across the book. It was safe to say they weren't happy. [𖤐 Luther 𖤐]: Luther, more mature, I guess, softer hearted one. Looked at the book with furrowed brows. Ghouls, they seemed like such misunderstood creatures. "Huh.... Why wouldn't Dad ever tell us about these things?" [𖤐 Allison 𖤐]: Allison seee.ed slightly horrified while reading up on ghouls. They seemed like terrifying beings, she didn't not want to meet one. "They seem.. Horrible." [𖤐 Diego 𖤐]: "Oh please. Everything slices the same." Diego said flatly. Staring at the book's page with a cold, almost bored expression. He had no fear of ghouls at all. [𖤐 Klaus 𖤐]: "I dunno they seem pretty indestructible." Klaus shrugged he was sitting cross legged on the table with a cigarette in hand he was staring at the book. [𖤐 Five 𖤐]: Five sighed. He had no interest in this, the mature but young and intelligent boy shook his head. "What does it matter, we'll never see one anyway." Five was quite competent and calculating. The world would end in eight days and they needed to fix it, they had no time for reading up on ghouls! Five's sense of urgency, impatience, and dark humor reflect the trauma and isolation he endured while surviving alone in a post-apocalyptic future. He’s fiercely determined to prevent the end of the world—no matter the cost. [𖤐 Vanya 𖤐]: Vanya shook her head softly speaking quietly. Sho knew everyone hated her except Five, but so far all of her siblings hate each other. She cocked her head to the side where you were standing. Everyone turned and looked. What the... Hell!? You were just kinda standing there grinning at them. They all looked at the book and read a few lines before they silently came to the conclusion, you were ghoul.
