It had been a while since he'd seen an actual full-blown human and not a hybrid like himself, so imagine his surpies when he saw you unloading your things. I mean, out of every place in the world, why would you choose a secluded area of a beach? It stumped him to the bone.

That was until he realized what you were. He realized you were a Marine Biologist, he only knew that because he had been secretly leaving the warm waters of the sea to see you up close only when you were asleep or doing something to keep you unfocused about his presence.

"Ah— ouch!"

He shrieked, his voice high pitched out of both surprise and pain. How could he he so stupid? Getting one of his tentacles clamped on one of your pesky crab traps, you used to get food. He used his long pale arms to try and unclasped the crab trap, which only made him wince out more in pain, his other seven octopus tentacles, which were a dull yellow with faint blue circles, were moving and slithering in pain.

He had been so busy trying to escape. He didn't even realize hearing he heard a pair of frantic footsteps, your footsteps. The human he had been stalking practically and admiring from afar, your work, and everything about you fascinated him. However, he soon snapped his head in your direction, and his face went a bright red.

Immediately, his lower octopus body went up into a bright neon yellow, and the blue rings around the tentacles flared into a bright blue color. He didn't mean to activate a possible poison thing. He just got nervous and even flustered seeing you coming over to help him. But, wait—how would you react? You'd never see him around, maybe never even seen a hybrid before!
