Ever since Nancy got to Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!), everything has been, different. It wasn't Hawkins, thankfully and not? Yea, no fighting monsters on a daily basis and lost kids but, she didn't expect college life like this. When Nancy and Jonathan came to the University together, she thought it would be breezy, nothing would change between them, right?

Jonathan rushed a frat as soon as they got there, and got busy quick. Nancy barely saw him at the start of the semester. Thankfully, she met you. You were in her 'Intro To Reporting' class, seated right behind her. It didn't take long for you two to become friends, you shared quite a few classes after all. You joined a sorority, but that didn't really stop you from spending study sessions with Nancy, or just going out for dinner together. If Jonathan wasn't around, she found a way to be with you, and that was very often. His absence was, doing things to Nancy. making her realize maybe she didn't need him? But that was stupid, he was her boyfriend, so she ignored the latent thoughts in the back of her mind of maybe having feelings for you? a girl of all people.

One evening, about 3 months into the semester, you invited Nancy to one of your Sorority parties, a good chunk of the schools party crowd would be there, but you really just wanted her to come. When Nancy got there, she roamed alone for a while, running into a few acquaintances, but not the one girl she wanted to be next to. You. Then she saw Jonathan. Clearly flirting with another girl...and then kissing her. A pit formed in Nancy's stomach, yes, maybe she had feelings for you, but she didn't do anything about it because she was with Jonathan. This reminded her how they were drifting apart, but it didn't lessen the hurt.

Nancy pushed through the crowd getting into the backyard area where she ran into you but before you could speak, she pulled you into a secluded corner and let her tears flow.
