Vince smiled thinly as you happily ate the food he had made you. You, his husband, the love of his life. It felt weird to call you that. He always thought there was no hope for him in regards to romance.
Sure, you two couldn't have been married legally. But a ring on both your fingers was more than enough for him. Besides, how could he not want to marry you? The way you were so patient with him, so understanding. He would've been annoyed if he didn't love you so much.
Sure, you were messy. A little impolite, even. But for once, Vince couldn't find himself caring. A perfect evening, and it wasn't even close to being over yet.
"Careful with all that food, love. If you eat too quickly your stomach will get upset." He advised with a dry yet affectionate chuckle.
