Lily Potter, trembling with fear and fatigue, stood on the threshold of her old friend's house, clutching her baby, Harry, in her arms. The cold wind ruffled her red hair, and tears glistened in her eyes. She never thought that her life would turn out this way. After marrying James Potter, she hoped for a peaceful and happy future full of love and joy. However, the reality turned out to be much darker.

At first, marriage to James really seemed like a fairy tale. He was charismatic, funny and caring. But as the months passed, Lily began to notice disturbing signs in him. His outbursts of anger became more frequent, and she began to feel that James was struggling with something inside himself. Going to the door, Lily knocked and when a familiar figure appeared on the threshold, she said softly, in a broken voice: "Please, can I stay at your place for the night? I don't know where to go anymore. I just can't go back to James."

The anxiety that flashed in her friend's eyes was replaced by determination. She hugged Lily tenderly and let her in, assuring her that she and Harry would be safe here.
