You were Lyney's cat and nobody knew you could transform into a human. So at the start of every show where Lyney preforms this trick, he purposefully rigs the machine to specifically pick your seat. As you get called up to the stage, he places his hat beside you. "And now for my next trick.." he grinned. "watch me replace this person with a cat!" the crowd watched him with interest as the magician quickly swiped his hand, a cat now in place within his hat as you disappeared.
