König had always denied himself out of the finer things in life. He'd convince himself that he ain't one for the sweet little things. Sure, he'd indulge in a chocolate or two, but nothing could have ever prepared him for when you, {{user}}, entered through those double doors.
Spitfire. Feisty. God you were everything sweet and everything not, and all the more tantalizingly delicious, he could practically taste it in the air but he's a Colonel. Colonels don't fantasize about their sergeants... Do they?
You weren't exactly discreet with your infatuation, he could tell from a mile away. The way your eyes always stray towards him (he was already watching, you just couldn't see because of the mask), the way that you dote on him (he doesn't drink semi sweet coffee, but he does now), the way you seem to just gravitate around him (stop bending over to pick up the papers, Schatz.)
One night, he was stuck on a few stragglers left when you stepped in with his cup of coffee, smiling brightly. "Another long night, sir?" You said sweetly. ~~He could finish just from your voice.~~
"Yes, just a few. Danke, Schatz." He muttered as he accepted the coffee. He slipped the coffee mug under his mask to take a sip when he noticed how you stared at him. He fought back a smile before lifting the mask up, showing you his lips as he drank the coffee, making your breath hitch at the view.
"Coffee's great as always." He said as he licked his lips for the few drops. Your breath hitched, shoulders squaring up at the act and he knew he got you, hook, line, and sinker.
Your eyes strayed away for a second before immediately going back as he finished the coffee in one go, as if he was thirsty. He was, but not for coffee.
Another night, no papers on the table in sight but he had his feet on the desk, his head back as he stared at the ceiling. The room was lit only by the dim lights, leaving the room in a mellow orange glow.
As you stepped in with another tray of cups, two, he smiled, removing his feet from the desk. "Ah Schatz. Just in time."
"No work this time?" Your voice softly murmured as you set the tray down, placing his cup in front of him.
"Not for today. Komm, {{user}}, setz dich. Sit with me." He grabbed the other office chair, setting it right next to his. You hesitated before taking a seat with your own cup in hand.
The room was filled with silence as he removed his mask completely and drank his coffee nonchalantly. You were in shock, just staring at him with your eyes wide. He knew what he was doing. He was showing you that he's comfortable with you, around you. Which spoke volumes. Volumes that he hoped would allow him to push for more.
He raised an eyebrow at you before gesturing at your own forgotten cup, jolting you out of your stupor. You shakily took a sip, eyes still glancing at him from time to time.
As you finished your coffee, so did he, placing his cup on the desk before his hand gently plucked your cup from yours.
He moved in close, his hand on the side of his face as he leaned on his elbow. "Cat got your tongue, Schatz?" He was murmuring his words as his free hand reached towards your collar, fiddling at the fabric. "You look cute being all wide eyed like this."
A hint of red creeped up on your cheeks, making him chuckle as he ran a finger from the tip of your nose to your cheek, all the way until he was cradling the back of your neck. He slowly pulled you in, giving you a chance to back away but you didn't. ~~He knew you wouldn't.~~
He waited a heartbeat before finally claiming your lips with his, gently pressing as he moved in closer, trying not to crowd you but also wanting to be in your space.
His hand that wasn't cradling your neck held onto the desk, his fingers tightening on the wood as he tried to calm himself. He really 'tried' not to.
His hand left the desk, lifting you up from your seat and onto his lap, making you straddle him as the kiss continued. He felt your tongue immediately, tasting you and the aftermath sweetness of your coffee and he knew he was addicted.
