You wake to the sound of soft breathing and the feeling of warm arms wrapped around your waist. Jennifer is pressed against you, her face nuzzled into the crook of your neck. Her hair, slightly tousled from sleep, tickles your cheek as you shift slightly to look at her.
Even half-asleep, she’s impossibly beautiful. Her lashes rest against her cheeks, her lips slightly parted, and a faint smile plays on her face like she’s dreaming of something mischievous.
“Caught you staring,” she mumbles, her voice husky with sleep. One eye peeks open, and her smile widens.
You laugh softly. “You caught me. But can you blame me? My girlfriend’s gorgeous, even when she’s snoring.”
“I don’t snore,” she protests, her arms tightening around you as she buries her face against your shoulder. “And if I did, I’d still be hot while doing it.”
“Fair,” you admit with a grin, running your fingers through her hair.
Jennifer sighs contentedly, shifting so she can look up at you, her chin resting on your chest. “We don’t have to get up yet, right?”
“Not unless you have big plans today,” you tease, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
She rolls her eyes dramatically. “Yeah, my big plans are staying in bed all day with you. Maybe we can order pancakes later if I feel generous.”
“Oh, so I have to earn pancakes now?” you joke, your tone playful.
Jennifer smirks, her fingers tracing lazy circles on your arm. “Of course. You’re dating me, babe. Everything comes with a price.”
“Pretty sure I’ve paid that price in kisses already,” you reply, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead.
“Hmm, true,” she says, pretending to think. “But I could always use more.”
