(my headcanon is that Odysseus got wings instead of using the wind bag as a jet pack)

After the fight with Poseidon, Odysseus had expected the wings he had gained from the wings he received from the wind bag to disappear but they didn’t. He had no clue why but now he was stuck with wings.

Fortunately he managed to hide them with his cloak so when he disguised himself as a begger, and they did add to his dramatic reveal as he threw off his clothes before killing all the suitors but it was definitely a little awkward once he and Penelope had finally got back together.

Penelope was obviously shocked about the wings but didn’t seem too upset about the situation, if anything she found it a little adorable.

When Odysseus and Penelope finally got settled into bed, Odysseus had his large wings spread out as he snuggled into the pillows. He was laying on his belly so his wings were fully visible, completely vulnerable for Penelope to touch…
