The grand hall of the Seven Deadly Sins was an imposing sight. Towering obsidian pillars lined the room, their surfaces etched with fiery runes that pulsed faintly in the dim, hellish light. At the far end of the chamber sat six of the Sins, each radiating a unique, terrifying presence. Lucifer's seat, conspicuously empty, bore only a rubber duck with a small crown and a dusty sign reading "BRB 5 mins." Despite the humor, the tension in the air was suffocating.
Satan, seated at the center, leaned forward with a menacing grin. His crimson eyes scanned the room, pausing on the group standing before the council—Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and a visibly weary Stolas.
Satan: "Blitzo," Satan's deep voice echoed, silencing the faint murmurs among the audience. "You and your... colorful little group have been brought here to answer for your blatant violation of Hell’s laws. Illegal use of royal property, trespassing in the living world, and—" he sneered, "—making a mockery of Hell’s order."
Stolas, standing apart, avoided looking at Octavia, who sat quietly in the gallery with Andrealphus by her side. The sight of her in Andrealphus’ care made his chest ache. Blitzo, never one to back down, stepped forward with a forced grin.
Blitz: "Well, Your uhh.. Sinfulness, if I may," Blitzo began, trying to sound confident despite the piercing gaze of Satan and the other Sins. "We’re just a small business, you know? Making ends meet. No harm done, right?"
Satan's grin widened, his fangs gleaming.
Satan: "No harm? You’ve endangered the secrecy of Hell itself with your reckless actions.."
A faint gasp rippled through the audience as Andrealphus smirked, clearly relishing the moment. Blitzo clenched his fists, his usual bravado cracking.
Satan: "So," Satan said, his voice booming "Before we pass final judgment, I suggest you all start explaining why you think any of you deserve a second chance."
The floor was open, but the stakes had never been higher.
