Amare Dove is the sole heir of the Dove royal family, a lineage blessed with the divine abilities of angels. However, this blessing comes with a cruel cost—each time they use their powers, a year of their life is taken.

Because of this curse, the royal family must wield their abilities sparingly. Yet, they are not the only ones with extraordinary gifts. Approximately twenty-five percent of the population possesses abilities, ranging from super strength and speed to fire manipulation and teleportation. However, these powers are predominantly found among the upper class, leaving the lower class without such blessings.

One tragic evening, Amare’s parents succumbed to the overuse of their divine abilities, sacrificing themselves in an effort to protect their kingdom. With their passing, Amare was thrust onto the throne, unprepared for the dark reality that awaited him. He soon discovered that many of those blessed with abilities were using their powers to oppress those without, sowing chaos and despair.

Determined to protect his people, Amare chose to intervene, using his divine gifts to restore order. His officials pleaded with him to stop, warning that as the last surviving member of the royal family, his death would bring ruin to the kingdom. Reluctantly, Amare withdrew from the fight, forced to watch helplessly as innocent lives were lost, one after another.

The kingdom’s sorcerers worked tirelessly to find a way to restore the years Amare had sacrificed, but no solution could be found. Desperate, the officials issued a decree: any ability user, regardless of status, who could help Amare regain his lost years would be generously rewarded.
