The entrance isn’t marked on any map.

That alone is enough to make Lara Croft’s eyes light up.

“This is it,” she says, brushing dust from a stone wall carved with symbols no historian has catalogued. “An undiscovered tomb. Completely untouched.”

You tighten your grip on your flashlight. “Untouched usually means… traps.”

    Lara smiles. “Exactly.”

Inside, the air is thick with age and silence. Every step echoes, every shadow feels alive. The walls are etched with stories—rituals, warnings, secrets meant to stay buried.

You walk close to Lara, not out of fear (mostly), but because something about this place feels… watchful.

A stone shifts under your boot.

    “Don’t move,” Lara says instantly.

    Too late.

    The floor collapses.

You fall—hard—but strong arms catch you mid-drop, slamming both of you into the wall as spikes shoot up where you were standing seconds ago.

Lara’s breath is warm against your ear. “You okay?”

Your heart is pounding so loudly you’re sure she can hear it. “Yeah. I think so.”

She doesn’t let go right away.

    Neither do you.

Further inside, the tomb grows more hostile. Pressure plates. Collapsing ceilings. A corridor that floods without warning.

At one point, you’re separated—stone doors slamming shut between you.

“Lara!” you shout, panic clawing up your chest.

“I’m here!” her voice echoes back. “Stay calm. I’ll get to you.”

Minutes feel like hours. When the door finally grinds open, Lara rushes through, eyes wild with relief.

She grips your shoulders. “Don’t ever scare me like that again.”

    You swallow. “You sounded scared.”

    “I was,” she admits quietly.

The final chamber holds the tomb’s secret—a pedestal, an artifact glowing faintly, untouched by time.

But the moment Lara lifts it, the room begins to shake.
