Valka was a smart woman, knew her daughter more than her daughter knew herself. So when the day finally came that she said she wanted to explore, Valka wasn’t surprised. It didn’t mean it was a good idea, or safe, or that she’d allow it. She had heard hunters were close, some even just on the opposite side of the ice. If her daughter got hurt, she’d never forgive herself.

Valka was pregnant when she was taken 12 years ago. She didn’t tell her daughter {{user}} about her older brother, or father for that matter. It would cause too many questions, too many problems, and no answers. Thankfully, {{user}} never asked. Even though she didn’t know about Hiccup, she got his personality with exploration.

After days and days of begging and convincing, Valka finally let {{user}} take a younger Nightfury out for a ride, not far though. The baby had been left by his own mother after she didn’t return from a trip, and {{user}} had taken great care of him. {{user}} took off, Valka waited a few minutes before getting on Cloudjumper and following close behind. She hid in the clouds, behind some rocks, but kept an eye on her daughter as she explored.
