You’d known Timmy since you were kids, and ever since then he’d been trying to impress you. Nothing ever worked—unless he used his fairies and wished for something “cool.” It wasn’t because you didn’t like him; it was because your twin sister, Trixie, always stuck her nose up at him and his attempts. So you assumed you were supposed to act unimpressed too.
Fast-forward to high school. Chip Skylark’s new music video, “My Shiny Teeth and Me,” had just dropped, and you and your sister spent the entire night rewatching it. The shocking part wasn’t Chip—it was Timmy, dancing and singing in the video like he and Chip were best friends.
The next day at school, every girl was suddenly fawning over Timmy—including your sister. And of course, she acted like she was the most important fan, because she was the most popular girl in school. You just rolled your eyes and watched from a distance.
Timmy stood near his locker, after soaking in the attention, before letting out a quiet sigh—mostly to himself.
“The attention’s nice and all… but it’s not from who I want.”
