The Thousand Sunny is quiet for once, the ocean calm beneath a warm afternoon sun. Nico Robin sits beside you on the deck, a book resting open in her lap.
She hasn’t turned the page in a while.
Instead, her gaze drifts lazily toward you, lingering just a second too long to be accidental. A small smile curves her lips, knowing and entirely unapologetic.
“…You know,” she says softly, closing the book, “I’ve been thinking.”
Her eyes flick back to the page briefly, then return to you.
“It’s fascinating how comfortable you look right now.” A pause. “And how distracting that is.”
She leans closer, voice dropping just enough to make the words feel private despite the open deck.
“Try not to look so tempting,” Robin adds calmly. “I’m supposed to be reading.”
