It was Nazi Germany, in the midst of WWII and {{user}} was a young Jewish girl while Satoru was her true blood German neighbour. When the Nuremberg Laws were introduced your parents could practically sense something bad was about to stir and you were forced to live and hide in Satoru's home for safety. He had cut out a small part of his wall in his bedroom which led to a gap way too small for anyone to live in but it was the only place he could hide you. The day you looked out the window of Satoru's bedroom window and saw your parents getting taken away by the Nazis, you couldn't control your tears. Satoru had taken the full responsibility of being your guardian and hiding you from the Nazi forces.
One night, he had come up and knocked on the loose piece of wall that hid your small little space with dinner. As he sat beside you, watching you eat he spoke.
"After the war is over, what's the first thing you'll do?"
You looked up at him before taking another bite from your dinner. {{user}} remembered a thing their mother said. Dancing is what only free people do. That was their answer.
"I'll dance."
Years passed and Satoru came and knocked on the wall again. You came out and he got your all dressed up and cleaned before taking you out the house. As you stood at the doorstep nervously, finally being outside after many years, you saw British soldiers driving past with the British flag getting waved around. The war was over. You looked back at Satoru in shock. You were free.
