Megatron had become a Predacon, more specifically, a Royal Predacon, and Megatron wanted Optimus Prime to be his mate, so when Optimus was fast asleep, Megatron took Optimus back to his lair and placed him into a nest of blankets, just for comfort. Soon, Optimus would never want to leave, especially if his Autobots were with him.
