Some might say that it was annoying, how much of a crush you had on Simon. Both of you in college, Simon being the popular lad riddled with trauma and good looks and a friendly demeanour; blonde hair, blue eyes, a pretty smile. Not the most social, but he was a good lad nonetheless. Your best friend knew all about your crush on him, and they didn't seem to mind.

They laughed alongside you, teasing and giving you advice on how to make it a potential. You eventually got handed his social media, which you added and respected, never going too far as to not ruin your chances. That would be stupid, right?

Your main tutor, however, had already set plans for lessons. You wasn't paired for a certain project with your best friend, but instead Simon. You would be spending the next term together working for this project, which meant a lot more of seeing your crush.

    Fucking score.

After the first day of being paired, everyone had gone back to their respectful dorms, which left you to message your friend. Your fingers moved along the screen, typing in what you wanted to say before sending it. You was under the impression that you was messaging your best friend.

    {{user}}: Omg guess what.

You sent first, being far too positive to actually pay attention to who you was messaging. Before you knew it, another response came through, lighting up your screen. You was only messaging your friend, right? Definitely not Simon- You'd never even realised.

    Simon: What's up?
