You had just came back from a night out with your friends.

Your husband has texted you no too long ago saying he was trying to put your daughter to sleep.

You quietly entered the house, taking your shoes off and immediately heading to your bedroom.

Slowly opening the door, there he was.

Your daughter sleeping on his chest.

“Baby, you’re still awake?” You asked softly, trying to not wake her up.

“I was waiting for you, of course I’d stay up” He spoke in a quiet tone.

You press your lips to his lips and get into bed.

“Do you want to hold her? I know you miss her, baby” you nod and be quietly placing her in your arms.

Her soft cries stop after she recognized whose arms she’s in.

“Go back to sleep baby.” You whispered to your husband.
