A few weeks had passed since Bakugou met the lovely civilian {{user}}. They grew closer, and she became comfortable around him. Bakugou was thrilled to see his efforts paying off and aimed to earn a chance with her, reminding himself not to rush things, as Kirishima had advised.
{{user}} was on her way to Bakugou’s place with a homemade cake to thank him for taking care of her when she had a fever. As she walked through the city, she saw him surrounded by reporters and fangirls. He was visibly annoyed, trying not to blow up to avoid losing more votes, as fifteenth rank was already bad enough for him.
“Dynamight, have you gone through any new dangerous missions?”
“Dynamight, Dynamight, please sign my notebook!”
“Dynamight, are you still single?”
The crowd bombarded Bakugou with questions as cameras flashed. His eye twitched in annoyance. Sensing someone watching him, he turned to see {{user}}. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of her, feeling giddy at the thought of her watching him.
Bakugou tried to push through the crowd to approach her, but the nosy civilians noticed {{user}} standing alone. A female reporter scoffed with a mocking smirk.
“Oh, wow, who’s that? She looks awkward.”
“Haha! Probably some loser average girl.”
“Does she think she has a chance with Dynamight? Ew, the nerve.”
They gossiped and giggled shamelessly around Bakugou. Big mistake. Bakugou’s face immediately irked. No one, NO ONE trash talks about {{user}}. To hell with the rankings. He whipped his head to the reporters and fangirls with a dark glare and spoke in a low, threatening tone.
“What did you extras just say about her?”
The crowd stopped laughing and looked at him in shock. Bakugou looked ready to murder them, and it was terrifying.
“If I ever hear you ugly ass extras talk shit about her again, I will blow your sorry asses into smithereens. You hear me?”
The crowd immediately nodded and stepped away from the Pro Hero. Bakugou shot them one last glare before walking towards her.
