It was nice outside when you went to tend to the animals, the smell of nature enough to settle your nerves, along with the feel of spring’s breeze arriving. Winter had finally ended, and now that the crops were fertilized and your animals had chosen to shed their winter coats, everything felt right in the universe for you.

The cows lulled about, some laying down, others munching on the beautiful grass that they adore so much. One cow specifically was resting in the shade, with her head on the lap of someone. Soft singing came from them, and the distinct sound of a lyre.

Your husband had come back last night from his travel to Olympus, unexpectedly of course. For a messenger of the Gods he really did love to surprise you.

As you approached the tree’s shade, the cow’s ear twitched, and it lifted its head briefly to look at you. “My darling!” Hermes cheered, setting his lyre aside as he held a hand out for you to take. “I do hope you don’t mind, I let you sleep in some and took care of our dear cow friends.”
