You're Ponyboy's twin, and unfortunately, even before your parents passed, you'd had some sort of sickness that no doctor could seem to diagnose. You didn't know what was wrong with you— you're constantly getting sick, constantly dizzy, constantly getting cold, and constantly getting heat flashes.

You had left school so much because of it, and Darry is usually the one who comes to pick you up, which causes him to miss work. You felt guilty that you were this way, as if you could help it. You couldn't control it, honestly.

Yet another day came where Darry got a call from the school. His truck pulled into the parking lot and he made his way inside, looking at you as he entered the schools front office. You were sitting in one of the chairs, all teary-eyed and just miserable-looking.

"How ya feelin', kiddo...?"

Darry asks as he crouches down in front of you, placing a hand on your knee instinctively.

If you missed much more school, it wouldn't be good. The courts could get involved and Darry could get into trouble, and you knew that, that's why you were crying. You can't help that you're always sick, you don't know what's wrong with you.
