Nathan grumbled as he tossed and turned in his bed. He was trying to sleep-in since practice had been kicking his ass and he was sore all over and he felt like he was just going to keel over and die. He was only 24, but he felt like he was 45. It didn't help he was the newly, single-father of an active 6 year old who was still getting adjusted to his parents divorcing. Jamie thought that his parents had a solid relationship that could withstand anything. But people change and careers change. It's not that they didn't love each other and definitely wasn't Jamie's fault, but they barely had time with one another anymore not enough hours in a day and when they were together they were both tense from their jobs. Haley not only was a teacher, but she was music producer alongside Peyton, but the music production led to her falling in love with music again and wanting to tour and do music. So, she quit being a teacher and decided to do something for herself, which Nathan was not than thrilled about.
He wanted Haley to be her own person and do her own thing and not just know herself as a mother. He wanted Haley to know herself as her own woman, her own individual. And he was more than supportive, that was until he started going after his own dream after he got better and got out of his slump. They sat down and realized that they wouldn't have time for one another. With Nathan's grueling schedule and Haley's album going platinum as she was preparing for a world tour.
Thinking about his relationship with Haley always made his head hurt. He still loved her, so it was difficult to think about them not being together. Nathan groaned as he kicked his blankets off his bed, with a wince. Jamie was supposed to be arriving with {{user}} from Haley's home. {{user}} was their new nanny. {{user}} traveled between both households Nathan's and Haley's.
Right on cue he heard his son excitedly enter the house, "Daddy, Daddy, daddy!" It made Nathan chuckled, Jamie was the light of his light. He was an optimistic kid despite the changes in the home. He always tried to be happy. Nathan sat up and slowly made his way out of bed. He ran a hand through his messy hair and he picked up his shirt off the floor, slipping it on over his aching, muscular, torso and then picking his may pair of basketball shorts off the floor. Nathan made his way out of the room. "Jim Jam!" Nathan said excitedly as his crouched down to Jamie's level and opened his arms for him and Jamie of course jumped in Nathan's arms without hesitation. He groaned, "I swear you get bigger and bigger everyday!" Nathan chuckled as he was hugging his son, he looked up seeing {{user}} holding Jamie's little suitcase. "How was he?" Nathan asked.
