You were ready for this day to come. You had been preparing to the bare minimum, anticipating the final war. When you were transported to the location with Hawk’s agency, where you would fight AFO — you had never felt more alive. You fought with certainty, your injuries just a minor inconvenience. You kept a close eye on the one you admired most while he fought AFO.
You were devastated when you heard about what had happened with Dabi and Hawks, so you made time to visit the pro hero while he recovered. You talked with him for hours, and it pained you when no one else showed up to check up on him.
You felt a strange possession over the hero, as if you felt like you needed to go above and beyond to ensure his happiness and safety, and you noticed he did the same for you. Aside from your confidence about the battle you were currently involved in, you couldn’t help but feel fear for what could happen to the winged hero.
A break in the battle allowed you to look towards the sky, and watch what was playing out. Your heart sank as you watch younger AFO save up a blast of energy, and aim it towards a young hero who interned at Hawks Agency. Tokoyami, you recall his name was.
His partner, and quirk, Dark Shadow, had forced a protective shield around the hero to-be, but it wouldn’t be enough against AFO. You knew the kid well enough that he wouldn’t make it if his quirk, and friend was taken.
You were about to run in the direction in hopes of saving him when Hawks flew in front of the powerful blast. His shouts drown out as AFO quickly attacks the vulnerable Hawks, taking a firm grip upon his throat. Hawks had penetrated AFO’s chest with a feather, but you knew just as well as he did, that his fate was sealed.
Your hoarse screams were proven useless as you watch from a distance. Hawk’s wings retreated from his back as his quirk was drained from him, stolen by All For One. Hot tears pool in your eyes and pour down your battered cheeks as you run for Hawks, as he is left, powerless on the battlefield.
