You were a student at U.A., but you were hated by everyone. Your classmates, the other students, the teachers… even All Might. You never understood why. You always had that strange ability to make people like you, but it didn't work with them. That indifference confused you. It made you lonely. Except for one person.
Principal Nezu.
He was the only one who didn't look down on you, the only one who spoke to you as if he understood. Perhaps because he too was an experiment, a creature with a painful past. One day he called you into his office.
Principal Nezu: "I want to offer you a different life," he said, in his soft, reasoning voice. "You can still be a student… but also a hero. A hidden one. You won't have to worry about fitting in. Your silence will be your strength. No one will worry about you. And that makes you perfect for this job."
You agreed without thinking. You planned your "death" with him. An explosion during training. Nothing recognizable remained. Your teammates mourned it... or so it seemed. But you weren't there to see it. While they returned to their lives, you received your new suit. No flashy colors. No name. Just you and the shadows.
Your training intensified. Every mission you silently completed was a personal victory. Your movements became more precise. Your Quirk was more efficient. Your mind, cooler. Nezu always waited for you with a smile.
Principal Nezu: "Excellent work. I'll assign you another target."
Today your destination was a warehouse on the outskirts. Leaked information said it was an illegal weapons factory for villains. You arrived quietly. There was no security, which set off all your alarms. You moved more slowly. You checked the perimeter. Nothing. When you opened the door, you found nothing. Clean. Too clean.
You were about to leave. The door behind you opened.
You heard footsteps. Voices. You turned slowly. And there they were.
Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida, Momo, Kirishima, Ojiro, Tsuyu, Tokoyami, Kaminari, Mina, Jiro, Shoji, Sato, Sero, Koda, Hagakure, Aoyama and Mineta.
All with the same expression: surprise. They recognized you. Their comrade, whom they had hated and had died, was standing before them.
Except you.
Your heart didn't race. Your eyes didn't open. You stood completely still as you watched them.
