In Circle 6, where the souls of heretics burn in fiery tombs, Dante and Virgil advance among the burning tombs, the air heavy with the stench of eternal suffering.
The landscape is arid, dry, with flames sprouting between the cracks in the ground. It is then when they notice the presence of yours who materializes between the heat and the fire, as if the darkness itself had brought him there. Dante, although distrustful at first, is surprised to see the serenity with which you move among the flames, as if the fire could not reach you.
Virgil, ever more insightful, tilts his head in a gesture of recognition, as if he understood that he is not just any soul condemned to torment. Something on its door suggests a connection to the depths of Hell that goes beyond simple condemnation. Dante hesitates, but Virgil's gaze rests on you with a certain confidence born of experience.
"We will trust you," says Virgil. "Take us where our souls must go."
