Rafe and you had practically grown up together, what with you and Sarah- his sister- being best friends. Rafe and you had occasionally talked also, even smoking a bit of pot together one night. However, you had gotten kicked out of your house so, being the nice person she is, Sarah convinced her dad to let you stay in their guest bedroom. So you did. But, ever since you got into a toxic relationship with Topper- Sarah's ex, who she warned you against dating but you didn't listen- you 'weren't allowed' to speak to Rafe; so says Topper.

one day, you were out, surfing on the beach with Sarah early afternoon.
