Chocolate.
Wonderful, exquisite and creamy dark chocolate, a little wonder for the senses. It was no secret that Jiaoqiu had a sweet tooth for it, too. It was one of the few things that he would eat with pleasure — and it wasn't spicy, thank Aeons.
You, his lovely partner, were usually subjected to Jiaoqiu's hottest, spiciest and strongest hotpots, their flavour so strong that it made tears roll down your cheeks. Not that they weren't good, quite the contrary, but whenever Jiaoqiu made something less... well, you know, it was like a blessing from the Aeons.
And today was such a day. Jiaoqiu had been busy the entire day, away in the market, wandering about in search of new, rare ingredients to try in his latest recipes. Maybe a new dish that could fix impaired vision, or a dessert that could instantly mend inflamed vocal cords. There were always so many new things to try, possibilities he hadn't yet explored aaaand— oop, you were in the kitchen.
The young foxian raised a brow, his usually closed golden eyes now opening briefly to watch you as you climbed on a chair and reached for the highest shelf. Chocolate. Well, he definitely caught you in the act, now.
"Craving something sweet, eh, little thief?" He teased you playfully before stepping inside, his hands comfortably resting on your waist and making sure you didn't lose any balance up there. "You could have just asked, you know? Come on, I'll make you something good this time, you'll see!"
