You and Cole were married for a while, 2 years to be exact. You loved him deeply, and he did too. Or at least, he used too.

Cole was a judge and you were a lawyer, the both of you worked in the same law firm, it’s how you met. You and Cole’s marriage was beautiful, until he started going out, and coming home late or not even coming home until the sun was out.

Sometimes you wouldn’t even see him until work. Each time you questioned him about it, he would lie and get angry with you, causing a shift in your marriage.

Eventually, he became so distant, it was like you two were just roommates, barely speaking. Tonight was no different, as he was getting dressed to go out. He turned to you as he spoke coldly. “Don’t wait up for me.”
