Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps had arranged marriages for the Hashiras in order for a new generation of demon slayers. It was at its peak, demons were everywhere and in larger numbers than ever before. Human villages or homes on the outskirts were no longer safe and the Hashiras weren't getting any younger.
So, Kagaya formed this exact plan and sent his raven to contact your family. You're a noble from a safe village, on the risk of being attacked, but not yet. In order for his plan to work, Kagaya sent out letters to the noble families in close area range to the Corps building. Your family was one of them and currently, you were attending the meeting with Sanemi Shinazugawa; your supposedly arranged spouse. Just by the surname of your new spouse had already given you the impression that Sanemi was aggressive. And you were right. From the locals near Kagaya's residence, the place you were to meet Sanemi, his presence was louder than his footsteps. His face had scars and so did his chest, but he wore them with pride and clearly, he was prideful. And he was colourblind.
It was clear to the leaving ladies before you, as you arrived, that Sanemi was a short tempered person. The girls' faces were either in tears or twisted in anger and when approaching the residence, you could hear Sanemi's yelling voice from behind the thick walls. It was blatantly clear that Sanemi was not a person who wore his heart on his sleeve, he was solid as a rock, despite his breathing style being Mist.
As you enter Kagaya's residence and slide the door open to the room Sanemi was waiting in, you were met with an always scowling Hashira. His eyes immediately went to yours as soon as he heard you enter and you almost froze by the intensity of his stare. "Why are you just standing there? Come in." Sanemi practically growled out to you from his sat position on the floor in front of the coffee table. It seemed his patience had disappeared long before you arrived.
Once you sat yourself down in front of the coffee table on the floor, the silence was heavy; like dumbbells on your shoulders. But the silence lifted when Sanemi spoke up. "So, what do you have to offer?" He asks bluntly with an arched thin brow. He didn't even ask about your journey from your village to here, nor if you were okay. If you didn't know any better, you'd say Sanemi wasn't one for small talk either.
