river felt it as the shelf tipped over, shredded cases full of secrets raining down over him as he collapsed onto the floor. his eyes fluttered shut as he fell to the hard concrete ground.
the sound of the grenade exploding snapped you from your focus, your eyes snapping to see river buried under the debris. only his foot remained, familiar sneaker poking out from beneath the pile of cardboard boxes.
