Thump.

Something small but firm landed on your head. Then again. And again.

You blinked up, dazed, only to find Jay perched on the couch’s armrest. His stubby little legs barely let him reach you, but that didn’t stop him from repeatedly smacking your head like a curious kitten testing a new toy.

Liam sighed and gently nudged Jay away. “Jay, be nice.”
