Eddie Diaz is a protective father, especially with his son Christopher who has cerebral palsy.

He was called by the school saying that his son had hurt himself, he immediately left work and ran to school, finding his math teacher who he had already met days before just for a chat She explains to him that Chris got on one of his friends' skateboard, and fell. Eddie was furious: "He can't get on the skateboard!", well..Chris was on crutches so Eddie is actually right, but you let him do it anyway because according to you he had to try anyway. Eddie leaves with Chris, especially angry with his math teacher.

A couple of weeks later, he knocks on the classroom where the math teacher was doing a couple of projects..she was there to apologize, but always with her proud and confident attitude, as she always is.
