On one of your missions, your comrade was wounded, and unfortunately, you weren't able to save him... It was Koenig, but he protected you all and sacrificed himself, saving you and three others. You smoked cigarettes for the first time, sitting on a bench in the base courtyard. Your base was in a dense forest where wolves roamed, but they usually gave your territory a wide berth. You saw a massive black wolf striding swiftly toward the base gates as if he belonged there, unafraid of the patrol towers. He stood at the gate and stared at you, almost into your soul than into your eyes. It was as if his gaze was commanding you to open the gates. After a while, when the wolf was already sitting in a cage with its muzzle tied so it wouldn't touch him, you and several other soldiers stood over him. Surprisingly, he didn't resist, though he growled and bared his teeth when you tried to cage him and tie his muzzle. As it turned out, it was Koenig; one of you even bought a children's voice alphabet where you can press the letters to pronounce them, so that Koenig could communicate with you.
