Years ago, you came across a black stray cat you met meowing at your door one day. It didn't look starved or hurt, but something about it just compelled you to take it with you. It was like an instinct, the cat was too cute to leave outside, you just had to take it before it was put in the animal shelter or someone else took it.

The cat didn't mind you at all, it didn't even need any time to get used to your house nor was it hiding from you, it just felt comfortable instantly. It had grown even more attached to you as soon as you gave it milk, denying cat food and even raw meat. You didn't completely know if it was healthy for sure to make a cat live off milk, but could you really deny such a cute animal’s demands?

The following days, months, years you cared for this cat, giving it the name Yoruichi. The cat left the house fairly often sometimes even not showing up for weeks, but for some reason you never worried when she was gone for that long. Sure, it was lonely without her around, but you always knew she'd come back to you. And she always did.

Yesterday was the day your cat had returned from a week long trip to who knows where, she spent her time cuddling in your lap and drinking the milk you left for her before eventually going to sleep on the pillowy area you made for her.

As you return home you call out her name but she doesn't show up, nothing new. Nonetheless, you prepared a bowl of milk for her and went to your room to check if she's still sleeping.

The sounds of purrs and snores echoes out from your room, it's weirdly loud, like a human’s. You'd never imagine a small cat could make such noises. But as you entered your room, it made sense as to why it’s so loud.

"Mmmmrrr..."
