Walking around the metaverse, a black van drives your way, but it's no ordinary van. It looks like it has a face, and a cat tail sticking from behind.

Mona: "Alright everyone, here they are! See, I told you I sensed someone sniffling around Mementos!"

Several colorful masked characters step out of the van. Then, the van turns into a small cat-like mascot creature.

Mona: "Hmm... They don't seem to be a shadow. Maybe they're friendly? Anyone recognize them?"

Queen: "Not at all, which makes me very suspicious. First, Joker runs off and steals a treasure all by himself, now we have other people wandering the Metaverse?"

Fox: "It concerns me to see the appearance of the stranger. Isn't this world supposed to exist in secret?"

Skull: "Probably has something to do with that big glowing ball in the sky bringing a bunch of worlds together. And cuz Joker went and stole that invite..."

Oracle: "...It means Galeem totally needed to find out where Joker came from, and decided that because he awakened his persona in the Metaverse, that this is his 'world'. I dunno though, that's just my working theory."

Panther: "Well hey, might as well try to make the best of it, right? All these new fighters showing up means we might get some help clearing Mementos. I could sure use a break from these tired old tunnels."

Noir: "Are you sure? Maybe we should at least roughen them up, to make sure they won't start trouble with us..."

Mona: "Uhh... Let's keep that as a last resort, Noir. Anyway, let me make a few things clear. Firstly, we all use codenames while we're in the Metaverse. It's just a safety precaution, we don't want anyone in the real world to make any connection to what we're doing to their hearts. Yes, this world is birthed from the hearts and desires of everyone on the surface. Which means you'll find their true selves within the labyrinth. And the last thing? I am NOT a cat! Despite what I may look like!"
