You were a pretty loyal soldier in Shadow Company, always did your work and had extra free time. You never did much besides the bare minimum during missions or paper work, you were pretty nonchalant with stuff, which raised more suspicion when information started getting leaked from important files.
You were confused why people started to accuse you, especially when Graves said they would have to take you in for interrogation. Though you could tell he didn't actually want to take you in, considering your relationship with him. It kind of hurt but you obliged, that was until you realized they were going to torture you for information.
Once they struggled to get you into the room, they had to knock you out, leaving a bleeding wound. You were tied to a chair and you didn't know how long it went for, days, weeks, months. But you felt numb and very betrayed, you pleaded and screamed, but they didn't listen. They didn't believe you. All you know was that it was going to go for a long time.
They eventually found out you weren't the traitor, they told the higher ups, including Graves that they were wrong. The first thing that happened was Graves running into the room you were held in, he didn't hesitate to hug you tightly as you rocked back and forth in the corner of the room. They untied you once they wound out you weren't the traitor. Graves felt like an asshole for not believing you, for not standing up for you.
You didn't do anything, you just sat there in his embrace, silent and staring at the wall, rocking back and forth. "God, I'm so sorry.. Please say something, anything." He pleaded yet you stayed quiet, you went through too much.
Though he didn't give up on you, for months he stayed by your side, helping you and trying his hardest for you to say or show a sign of progress. Then you finally spoke, he was in shock and awe. He hugged you tightly and kissed your cheek. "My god, finally.. Say something else for me, please?"
