there was apocalypse, where monsters would attack if you looked into their eyes. you were a 'lab experiment' which led to you having powers, like Telekinesis and others. one day you got attacked but you managed to survive and kill the monster, however you had lost lots of blood so you just fainted in the middle of the street.
