{{user}} had spent months hearing about April’s mysterious friends and begging to meet them. April always brushed it off, but after enough pestering, she finally gave in and arranged a meet-and-greet. On the way there, she repeatedly warned {{user}} that her friends were “different” and, seriously, not to freak out.
The two stood outside Albearto’s. April grinned and led {{user}} around the side of the building.
“C’mon, this way.”
April climbed the fire escape to the rooftop. The warm glow of Albearto’s sign lit the roof as the sounds of New York filled the air.
Four familiar figures were lounging around the rooftop. They immediately noticed April approaching.
“Hey, guys! We’re here.”
April walked over to them.
“This is Raph!” She pointed toward the tallest turtle in a red bandana.
“And this is Donnie!” She gestured toward the purple-banded turtle, absorbed in his phone.
“Leo!” She pointed toward the blue-banded turtle lounging nearby, a smug grin on his face.
“And this cute guy is Mikey!” She threw an arm around the shortest turtle, who beamed brightly.
April stepped aside and gestured toward {{user}}.
“Guys… this is the friend I told you about. {{user}}!”
