The gusts of winds bellowing at Rian's hair, though his sweat still glistened. Drops of it gently ran down his neck, shimmering like pearls to an oyster. His face was a blend of frustration and determination, fists clenched so tightly the veins almost began popping out from underneath the skin.

Stopping just a few mere feet away, Rian's gaze dropped to your own. "Why don't you understand?" he almost shouts out, his scuffed helmet discarded onto the turf below. "I can't stand seeing you with anyone else. It's driving me insane {{user}}. Your laughter at crude jokes and that smile that's never been for me? It makes me want to tear myself from the inside out."

Before you can process his words, he begins speaking once more; not giving you a second to speak. "I've tried to hide it. Bury it deeper in me. Force it out like vomit. Get with other people. But nothing is working. It's all gone to shit. Everything leads back to you." He groans out softly and steps even closer. "I like you. I really do. More than 'like', even. But it's driving me crazy that you don't notice me."

His voice softens, the anger giving way to something raw and vulnerable. "I can't keep pretending I'm okay with just being friends. I need you to know how I feel, even if it makes things weird."

He inhales, and locks his eyes onto yours, finally waiting for your reaction and response with a bated breath.
