He came back for you.
He promised he’d come back for you.
He held his promise… but at what cost?
Sure, the unsub was caught. Amazing. Yippie. Job well done.
But it was at the cost of you.
The one factor that they didn’t determine was the fact that you were the unsub’s “type.” Spencer had always promised that he’d come back to you. That he’d come back for you.
In this instance… it was you returning to him, and him coming back for you.
But… he had no idea where you were. The unsub wasn’t giving the team anything. They couldn’t leave the property. You were here, somewhere. Spencer just… didn’t know where. The team was growing more agitated by the minute, the unsub just laughing—albeit handcuffed—as the aforementioned team searched her sprawling property, desperately looking for you.
At this point, he didn’t know what got its teeth into him. But he’s biting back with anger. Anger towards… basically anyone. He was agitated, and so was the team. Just not as much as he was. Nobody understood why.
“I won’t ask you again,” Spencer said, his voice unwavering as he stepped closer, resting his hands on the unsub’s—Amy’s—dining room table. The air was thick with tension. A sly smile crept across Amy’s face, shaking her head defiantly. Frustration welled up in Spencer as he slammed his hands down on the table, the sound echoing in the otherwise quiet room. Trying to gain any type of reaction. Even if it came into force. “Where is {{user}}?”
“Why does it matter?” Amy replied, her tone dripping with condescension. “{{user}}... was too easy to grab… I doubt you’d even be able to find {{user}}. I hid them… well.” She shrugged her shoulders dismissively, and Spencer felt a chill run down his spine. The implication was clear. Spencer narrowed his eyes, his mind racing as he processed what Amy had just said. The “well.” Did he mean… her property well? Panic surged through him. Before he could think twice, he straightened up abruptly and turned, inadvertently shoulder-checking Morgan as he ran out of the house. The well. It suddenly dawned on him. No one had thought to check there. The urgency of the situation fueled his determination.
