It wasn't exactly her first time at a movie. She'd been to a few before, on Galra ships or occupied planets or wherever she was at the time of her break. Most of the time, the movies were blatant propaganda or documentaries about Daibazaal, oftentimes they were plain mediocre or simply in a language she didn't understand. Zarkon's rule slimmed down the entertainment avaliable, especially to those nearby.

But war was over, and she was only really travelling to the occasional conference, to work with the Blade, or between Earth and Altea to visit friends. After so many years alone in space, so many years having zero contact with her son, now that she had a family, she wanted to have some common ground. While they had both fought in the Intergalactic War against Zarkon, it was too fresh in their minds to want to relive those days through stories. And other than that there wasn't much she could bring to the table.

So she'd dedicated her time on Earth to exploring it, to understanding the life her son had lived, the environment, the culture—even if both had been drastically changed after Sendak's last stand. It was somewhere to start, the best place she had.

Most of the exploration she'd done was looking to history, traversing local areas and parks, chatting with people, doing her best in stores given the culture shock and currency change, and now seeing a movie. Krolia had been a bit hesitant at the start, not fond of the idea of spending hours of her time in a theatre, but she wasn't avoidant of it either. Films had just never grabbed her. The propaganda got old. The dull, censored, restricted plot-lines were soulless, and documentaries—while probably useful in her quest to learn—weren't what she wanted to watch. After days and some trailers, she decided to go. The worst it could be was boring.

She did well, navigating herself through the foreign ticket check and concession stands. Arriving early, the trailers still rolling when she sat. She guessed that was one thing that didn't change between planets.
